The 6th Kielder Forest Star Camp takes place from 29 October to 2 November under the darkest sky in England.
Amateurs from across the UK and further afield are invited to us at this spectacular location.
There'll hopefully be chance to view from the 1270 foot location of the new £450,000 Kielder Observatory, now nearing completion, being built on a fell overlooking Kielder--England's remote village.
The event is being staged by the Kielder Observatory Astronomical Society, with support from the Forestry Commission. There'll be main day talks and vendors on 31 October at nearby Kielder Castle--which is free to both campers and day visitors. Campsite capacity will be limited to 70 pitches--a bit less than last year-- so please book early.
Please use the tabs left to find out more about the event-- which was named as one of the world's top ten star parties by the Sky at Night Magazine. There's also a booking form to secure your place under the stars.
